The artist comes from a family of traditional Indian goldsmiths and jewellery designers and makers with some 70 years of tradition in his background. In addition to this training through heredity, he graduated from Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai with a B.F.A in Metal Work and was a Teaching Faculty in Metalwork at the same institution.
